President's Message

The 2013 WABE Convention will be located in the beautiful city of Vancouver, at the Sheraton Vancouver Wall Centre from Nov 3rd to 5th, 2013.

The WABE Committee is very busy planning this year’s convention and the word Go-Kart has been brought up a few times.  If you have never attended this Convention, this is the year to go.  Meeting the exhibitors, being able to ask a question that isn’t emailed or texted is priceless.

It goes without saying; the convention would not be possible without the support of our sponsors, exhibitors, delegates and volunteers.  WABE is always very thankful for the support.

The WABE Education Committee is also pleased to partner with SAIT for the training sessions which will take place June 3 – 7, 2013.  Contact info@wabe.ca for additional information.  Peter Gillespie and his committee have resurrected the Broadcast Technical Training Seminar and early showings of the program prove it will be very informative and well worth attending.

The formed committee each year is always accepting nominees for the various awards handed out.  If you know of a deserving person or group, please send a note to info@wabe.ca.

Thank you again for everyone’s support.  I, along with the committee, look forward to seeing everyone in Vancouver.

Brian Mayer
President
